I got a job!

I guess all it took was for me to leave town and stop looking. J is the one to thank for this wonderful occurance. The place he works needs someone for 2-3 weeks to do some basic editing/proofreading/formating stuff and he put my name in for it. I start Monday!

We have a pretty strict rule of not working at the same place, but since this is short-term and I don't want the Gap Police to come after me, we figured the potential colliding of worlds is worth it. I'll actually be sitting 20 feet away from him. I suggested that we pretend I'm the 'new girl' and that we're having a torrid office affair...

The only thing I am actually worried about is my back. It hurts. When I sit for more than 2 hours it begins to throb. I'm thinking this is not so much because of my growing belly, but my growing boobs. They are weighing heavily on my posture. Right now I am sitting in my class (waiting for it to start) with my blue travel pillow wedged behind my back. Yes, I walked into class with a travel pillow. Obviously everyone thinks I am the coolest person in school.

Hey! Great news - congrats! And, for a guy who works twenty feet from his significant other, the office affair prank is totally worth it. Especially since your pregnant!!!!

Thanks Matt!

Well, I think most of the people there know who I am...though it would be absolutely hilarious if they didn't! I could see it now.

"hey, what's up with J being all over that temp...isn't he married? Does he have a thing for pregnant women or something?"

more for J to deal with the old lady in his realm...change his frame of mind :-)

Bring the travel pillow to work with you, too. I bet J would love that. Did you try getting some new bras in the next size up with those big ole shoulder straps? I know it is a less than appealing option, but it might help. I think Motherhood carries them. You might have to take out a Motherhood credit card to get one, though...

ha! I'm going shopping with my mom tomorrow, so I'll keep my eye out...luckily she'll be doing the financial transactions so my credit will be safe.

hurrah! perhaps the blue travel pillow could be replaced with some sort of hokey lumbar support device? or you could knit a VT cover for the one you have!

Congrats Nacho - that's awesome news! I will be sure to have some sparkling cider on hand tomorrow to celebrate!
